We just got back yesterday from our stake girls high adventure trip. We hiked to the top of Mt San Gorgonio and back, a total of 26 miles, up 8000 vertical feet, in 2 1/2 days caring 30lbs packs. We started Wed. morning and hiked 6 miles in to Dry lake where we made camp. On the way up we crossed over an avalanche's dabree (picture below), the avalanche happened last winter and by the size of the fallen trees you can tell some of the trees that we knocked over were about 100yrs old. We also found natural springs were we refilled our water supply. Thurs. we hiked 7 miles to the top of the Mt. and then 7miles back to camp. We crossed over debre from a C17 military transport airplane that crashed into the side of the Mt in the 50's. We also crossed a bunch of snow drifts, the largest pictured below was terrifying. Our guide did not know it was there and would not have allowed us to cross it, but he was helping some in the back and by the time he was aware of it all but 4 people had crossed. Peter & I were half way across when he came back and said it was not safe and no one else could cross after us. He found us another way to come back down. The incline was steep, the snow slushy, and the wind strong. We slowly made our way to the top where the oxygen level was only 63% of the normal amount. The only reason I was able to make it to the top was because Peter helped to pull me along the last mile, but WE MADE IT!! It was much easier to drag ourselves down the trail than it was up, but it was harder on the joints. Anytime we stoped for a rest, going up or down, our legs would stiffen up making it tough to continue on. Fri. we cleaned up camp and hiked back 6 miles to our cars where they had lunch waiting for us, and we all collapsed on the ground, jk but we wanted to. It was a great experience that I do not want to ever repeat. Even Peter on the way back said that it he knew how hard it was going to be probably would not have done it. I only made it because of his help.

Happy Mother's Day to me
Don't you just want to snuggle him, I love his little brown ears and his one eye you can see in this picture has half brown eyelashes and half white. Sammy tried to clam him saying he was hers or at least every ones, but we make sure to correct her, he is Mommy's.
Abigale's 4th Birthday
Abbie turned 4 a couple of days after Easter. We just had cake and presents as a family, then told Abbie we would go any where she wanted to go. She has been talking about going to castle park for a long time and saying she wanted to go there for her birthday. But Sammy got to her and convinced her she really wanted to go to Chuck e Cheese. So we ended up going to Chuck e Cheese. Which was fine with Pete and Me, it was closer, less traffic, and cost a lot less (we had a coupon for 100 tokens for $10).
Easter Part 2
Easter Morning, the Easter Bunny brought the kids goodies, and put them in their baskets.
After church we went to my parents house and had an early dinner. We couldn't find Dano and went looking for him and this is where we found him, enjoying quiet time with Grandpa.
All of the adults helped to hide the eggs, can you see how helpful Lily is and how helpful Peter is.
Chris and Halli bought a package of 250 eggs and so we assigned a color to each kid and then they could only find their color. Each kid had 40 eggs to find. The kids loved it, Noah gave up after about 12 eggs.
After the egg hunt we all sat around in the grass visiting,it was a lot of fun for both the adults and the children (who were busy eating their candy).
Adam & Lilly, Halli, Chris and Nelly, Aunt Linda & Shawn, Peter, Holly & kids, Grandma, Grandpa & Allie.
Easter part 1
We died our Easter eggs using the new little snap swabs. They worked really good and didn't make a mess. We only decorated 8 eggs, they might not have lasted for more than a dozen, but I think they are worth buying. The Saturday before Easter we went to Peter's parents house. The kids had a blast playing with their cousins that they don't see very often. We had an egg hunt, each kid had their own one of a kind bag, they were soo cute.

Peter is the greatest!

My husband loves me. I have been wanting to plant a garden, but we don't have anywhere that get sun all day long, so I could never figure out where I wanted it. Peter solved the problem by building me planter boxes and put them on the fence. So Peter either Loves me a lot, or he got tired of hearing me complain about not having anywhere for my garden.
